City central apartments is located within a short walking distance of cathedral square and the city centre. We offer 26 stylish apartments with options to suit your requirements. Queen studios, twin rooms, superior studios, family units, and two-bedroom units. All apartments have a kitchenette to ensure your comfort units are double glazed and centrally heated. We offer free onsite parking, high-speed Wi-Fi and sky television. Our team look forward to welcoming you and making your visit to Christchurch a pleasant and memorable one.

This Complex was built prior to the Commonwealth Games here in 1974, it has been subsequently being completely refurbished through 2006 & 2007 and now provides guests with spacious, modern, self-contained apartments. We aim to provide quality accommodation and service and we will make every effort to ensure your stay is enjoyable.

We take our responsibility to the environment seriously and would ask that you support this by; turning off lights and appliances when you have finished using them or when leaving your unit and being conscious of recycling and conserving water wherever possible.

At the City Central Motel Apartments, you are ideally placed to take advantage of all that Christchurch still has to offer. The Avon River and the Botanical Gardens, which are part of Hagley Park are also just a short walk away. Agley Park is a magnificent recreational area right in the centre of the city and you will enjoy the gardens and the general ambience no matter what the season. Punting on the Avon is still operational and these rides can be accessed off Cambridge Terrace. Pocket city maps are available in reception.

    We stayed here 3 nights (Fri-Sun), for the price point we would recommend staying here. It was a good place to base ourselves to explore Christchurch. The rooms were tidy and well-kept and had everything we needed. The location is easy to get to/from - there wasn't anything nearby so we drove or scootered everywhere. We did walk to the city one day and it was actually closer than we thought (about 10-15mins) The check-in process was easy and all staff we encountered were friendly.

    The only negative is the noise - it was a bit rowdy Fri night with people coming/going and we could hear the next door baby crying all through the night, plus the traffic was noisy on some nights.

      Great location that's only a 10-minute walk away from the city centre. Easy accessibility to eateries and groceries. It happened that the ceiling started leaking water on the 2nd day of my stay. The staff acted quickly to switch me to another room and I am pleased with their quick reaction. The room was cosy and spacious. I would stay here again.

    We stayed here for 2 nights and it was clean and tidy.

    The people who worked here were very friendly and helpful.

    We had lots of room along with a kitchenette and clean shower.

    Nice and close to the centre of the city.
